Though not as well known as acupuncture, moxibustion is an important part of treatment. Moxa is used to warm regions and acupuncture points with the intention of stimulating circulation through the points and inducing a smoother flow of blood and qi. Moxibustion has been shown to be especially effective in the treatment of chronic problems.Qi Gong
Qi Gong involves the coordination of different breathing patterns with various physical postures and motions of the body. Qi Gong is mostly taught for health maintenance purposes. Dr. Bryant does private instruction on Qi Gong that is tailored to your needs.Cupping
Cupping is the method of applying acupressure by creating a vacuum next to the patient's skin and is used to treat stagnation in the body. It is effective in the treatment of respiratory diseases such as the common cold, pneumonia, and bronchitis, and can be used to treat back, neck, shoulder, and other musculoskeletal pain among other things.Dr. Carrie Bryant
